In 2006, Kokomo’s added a Game/Dance Floor by Lightspace as a new attraction.
This foor has the latest technology in interactive dance and game floor play. The
floor lights up as you play it. Currently, the activities area has 10 different effects
that respond to peoples’ movements on the surface area. Each effect is unique. “Stepping” on different floor effects activates them. Players use a touch screen to
activate the different games. The “Auto Mode” button starts a playlist that toggles
through the different effects until it is stopped by the user. Some games you can
play are Dodgeball, Tennis Pro, Music Maker and many more. The amount and
types of games will increase as new software programs become available.
The floor also combines music lightshows along with the changing patterns. All
of the various patterns are synched to music and sounds. Lightshows are specifically
designed to be run with a music signal. The lights, sound and movements on the
floor all combine for an interchange that is most exciting.
It is fun and easy for all ages to play this game/dance floor.
