KOKOMO'S HAS 2 TYPES OF LOCK-INS:

KOKOMO’S CHRISTIAN YOUTH LOCK-IN:

The first is the “Kokomo’s Christian Youth Lock-In” which is held once every month on the third Friday (except for the months of December and February).  This Lock-In lasts for 5 hours and allows for numerous churches and denominations to book at one time and in any amount of participants.  Many groups cannot meet the 100 minimum guideline, and this allows them to book 2, 10, 20 or any amount of guests.  Since there are numerous groups at a Kokomo’s Lock-In, all guests are encouraged to wear and bring only what is necessary, as there are no places to store extras.

PRIVATE LOCK-INS:

“Private Lock-Ins” are only available for 100 or more.  However, a party can be booked for less then 100 as long as the group commits to paying for a minimum of 100 guests.  Prices and hours are flexible as shown in the schedule above.   At a private lock-in, the guests know each other and have more flexibility.  They are allowed to bring any additional items deemed necessary for their outing.  This sometimes incorporates auctions, prizes, and special food items, such as cakes or cookies.  Private lock-ins need to be reserved at least 2 weeks in advance.

DETAILS FOR ALL LOCK-INS:

RESERVATIONS – Once a group has decided on the Lock-In that best meets their needs, make reservations at 989-797-5656.  It is best to book at least 2-4 weeks in advance to assure of spots available.  Our operator will ask for the approximate amount of participants that will attend the Lock-In.  As we approach 1 week before the Lock-In, we ask that you call us back to give us a firm number on the amount that will attend.  We know this can vary on the night of the Lock-In, but this “firm” number helps us to make sure we have enough employees scheduled. The operator will ask for your deposit and go over any other questions.

DEPOSITS – Deposits are due on date of reservation.  Credit cards and check are accepted.  A $ 50.00 Non-refundable deposit is required for the Kokomo’s Lock-In.  A $ 100.00 Non-refundable deposit is required for the Private Lock-In.  If a check payment is desired, we need to receive it within 10 days of reservation.  Make check payable to Kokomo’s, write date of Lock-In on check, and mail to Kokomo’s at 5200 Kokomo Dr.  Saginaw, MI  48604.  No exceptions will be made.  If deposit is not paid, we will not be able to hold your reservation.

FINAL PAYMENT – Final payments for balance of Lock-In will be accepted on the night of arrival.  In order to provide the easiest form of payment, we ask that you collect all the payments from your participants ahead of time.  You can pay all the balance in cash, by check or charge card.  We prefer that all checks be made to the church or organization and that one (1) check for the balance is made payable to Kokomo’s.  We will accept a combination of cash/check/charge card.  At the time of payment, we will ask for the amount of chaperones in your group.  We will allow (1) per 25 guests at NO COST.  If for example, you have 35 guests, we will allow for (2) at NO COST.  If for example, you have 65 guests, we will allow for (3) at NO COST. If there are additional chaperones over our FREE limit, those would need to be paid for at the Lock-In cost for all your other participants at time of payment.   Due to the confusion and desire for participants to “get to the activities,” this is the easiest way for collection of payments for Kokomo’s and for you.

SCHEDULE - Kokomo's Christian Youth Lock-Ins begin at 11:00 PM and end at 4:00 AM from September - May .  All Lock-ins in June – August begin at Midnight and end at 5:00 AM.   Private Lock-Ins begin and end at the time and hours selected.  Kokomo's Christian Youth Lock-ins and  Private Lock-ins conclude promptly at the time designated.  All guests need to exit to their transportation at that time. All guests will provide their own transportation.

SUPERVISION - Kokomo’s will provide adequate employees and managers.  Kokomo’s requests that there be at least (1) chaperone per 25 youth.  There will be NO cost for this volunteer.  Sponsors and chaperones will be responsible for their participants at all time and will be subject to dismissal for unruly behavior.  In the beginning of the Lock-In, the manager will go over all the instructions in regards to the activities at all attractions.  Detailed information about the go-karts must be completed inside the building as the audio system outdoors cannot be used in the evening.  All participants MUST listen closely as the rules are explained.  The most important rule at Kokomo’s is “Safety First.”  There will be no running, unruliness or harassment of any of the employees or guests at anytime.  If individuals of any group “get out of hand,” the manager may ask that the “whole” group leave the lock-in without refund.  Our goal is that everyone has fun, but also respects the enjoyment of all other participants at the Lock-In.  Participants will also NOT be allowed to leave the premises unless they have formal permission from the leader of the group and the Kokomo’s manager.  No alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs are allowed to be brought onto the Kokomo’s premises.

FORMS TO COMPLETE – Each youth needs to complete a Medical Treatment and a Permission Form.  (These forms need to be brought the night of the Lock-In and kept by the chaperone or church leader).  In the event a participant is injured, it will be the responsibility of the organization leader or chaperone to contact the parent or guardian with assistance from a Kokomo manager.  Medical Treatment Release Form and Parent/Legal Guardian Permission Form are available for printing.

CANCELLATIONS - Kokomo’s ALWAYS reserves the right to cancel or make changes on any of the Lock-Ins.   In the event that they do, the deposit will be fully refunded.

AT RISK – ALL ATTENDEES AT A LOCK-IN WILL BE PARTICIPATING HAVING FULL KNOWLEDGE THAT IT IS “AT THEIR OWN RISK.”

MAP TO KOKOMO’S – A map can be printed.  Any further explanations needed, please call Kokomo’s at 989-797-5656 or email us at kokomos@kokomos.com
